About 60 reporters attended the AHCJ Washington, D.C., chapter holiday party last month, including independent journalists, reporters from Kaiser Health News, The Washington Post, The New York Times, Politico and USA Today.
During the seventh annual holiday event for the chapter, reporters enjoyed beverages and light appetizers at Bistro Bistro in Dupont Circle.
Reporters attending the event had the opportunity to meet senior officials for communications at Health and Human Services. Joining the chapter were Charmaine Yoest, assistant secretary for public affairs at the agency, and Mark Weber, the deputy assistant secretary for public affairs.
The chapter will be holding other events to assist members with meeting other officials within the agency as the Trump administration heads into its second year.
