Nearly 70 journalists and communications officials from patient advocacy and industry groups met for a rooftop happy hour event in Washington, D.C., on June 11.
The event marked the second annual spring meeting between AHCJ’s Washington, D.C., chapter and communications officials, including folks from the National Pharmaceutical Council, AdvaMed, American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Foundation and the National Health Council.
Health journalists from The Boston Globe, Politico, Modern Healthcare, the Los Angeles Times and The New York Times were among those in attendance.
AHCJ picked up some of the costs and journalists were invited to contribute toward the event. I took the opportunity to pour some craft brews during the event, which overlooked the White House and downtown D.C.
