AHCJ member Diana Mason is leaving her position as editor-in-chief of the American Journal of Nursing, where she has worked since 1999, to start a center for health media and policy at the Hunter–Bellevue School of Nursing, part of the City University of New York.

Mason, who will hold an endowed chair at the school, will work with another AHCJ member, Barbara Glickstein, to start the center.

Mason will continue in an emeritus position during a transition period, as the journal searches for her replacement. Current editorial director and AHCJ member Maureen Shawn Kennedy will take the helm in the interim.
